Game Update notes in the announcement screen
At the login screen, we should be able to see game update notes, similar to the other announcements that are posted there.
Only post the most recent update information. Change it whenever a new update is released.

This would make the game updates more accessible, and maybe then people might pay attention to them. However I think it's easier just to quickly go to the GW website to check updates while they're downloading. It only takes a couple of seconds.

I'd like to know why we can't view the game news/update info while we are on our character selection screens. You have to log out of the game to see it! o.O

It is just as easy to get the info on the GW main site, however:
1. It isn't always readily available at the time the update.
2. Not everyone checks the update notes at the GW site(example, People log into the game after a holiday event starts and then asks what is going on).

Sometimes (for example on skill balance days) the update notes are just way to much to fit conveintly on the login page.

In that case they could simply say that there was a skill update, and direct them to the site for more details...

That's the main reason why I would agree with the suggestion. People just don't seem to read the main website. I am so sick of entering a main event town and being bombarded with the same question (usually one of the following: "Where do I get a hat?" or "When is the <main event character> coming?") in local chat. And then after the event there's still people asking these questions, you tell them that the event is over, they don't believe you, you tell them to check the main site, and they refuse and still don't believe you.
However, whenever there is a special event, the specific times are always listed in the announcements on the login screen. I think that most people see the login page for all of 2 seconds while they type their password in. I think most people just ignore the announcements. So I don't really see it's absolutely needed. It'd be convenient, yes, but not needed.

Most people auto-login and never see those notes/announcements either.
